It's not a very common thing, as I've come to notice; it's a concept that really deserves a lot more drawings c: I'm not the best at people, but I really liked the idea of the interaction between them and ponies. It makes for a variety of scenarios, some of which may invite more originality ^^
Well see, that's exactly how I feel about the Ponies and Humans concept. It deserves more attention. Because I know there has to be more people that can handle that kind of creativity. Such as yourself The concept is fantastic, multiple amusing scenarios with every different pony and a ones persona. That's why I love seeing these. I draw a bit myself, but I can never wrap my mind around how to draw ponies. Interesting, really. Frustrating, actually...
I can understand the frustration, though I struggle more with people and poses XD I don't really have the skills for the ideas that I want, so I have to work within my limitations. I guess that's where practice comes in, lots and lots of it
I have the idea for people and the poses, I just don't have the drawing skill nor equipment. Rough switch...Ha. Maybe for you its not so much skill as it is inspiration. Practice is always good, however. But you do what you think is right or just frickin' awesome.
Really glad that you like it, that means so much ;w; and sorry about the Skype, I just haven't had time for it like I used to; life is getting more and more busy for me and it's been difficult getting on.
It can be pretty stressful, mostly because I realize how large the gaps are becoming that I'm away from dA and Skype, but I'll try my best to say hi from time to time and hope that I'll be able to talk more as I get things done
Ah, I was simply referring to you as Tsundere-chan, since the human character here was telling Pinkie Pie to stop licking him despite blusing and I choose to refer to you as this character. That, or as an unanswered message, it could have been a message directly to this fictious character.
Jokes aside I really like this picture and I'm looking for more of this type of pictures. Especially I'm really curious how you see size diffrences between ponies, diffrent ponies or maybe even other sentient creatures from the show? :>
I knew it, I really think you can draw people! But may I make a small critique? I don't think I'm better than you, it's just something that I noticed... the angle of his eyes and the angle his face profile don't seem to match just right, if that makes any sense Like, to match his eyes, he'd have to either turn his head an inch or two or the placement of his eyes would have to be adjusted more to the viewer's right. Mouth, too, perhaps. Gosh, I see something different every time I look! Of course, it's a cartoon and what I noticed is really just a subtle nuance, but still, I just wanted to give you a heads up, just in case. I believe criticism is always meant to be constructive and help the artist improve in any way possible. And if you don't really agree with my critique, that's okay, too! But overall, he's very expressive and it looks really good!
I'm working on a humanized version of the ponies now. I'm not the first to do it, but I have a few of my own original ideas in mind... if only I could find the time! (Hint: my avatar is a WIP of Celestia. The shading needs a lot of work, but she's coming along!)
Hm, I think I understand what you're getting at. There easily could be something wrong with the alignment, as that is something I've always had trouble with; after all, I've only just started drawing people again and I was never much good at them in the first place, so it's gonna require more practice ^^ I appreciate the critique, it's helpful to have advice for improvement.
And it's nice to hear that you're working on humanized ponies, I can't wait to see what kind of ideas you have. C:
Yeah, but fortunately that's the great thing about comic-style art—there's more freedom with facial feature-placement! I actually want to take back what I said about the mouth; I've noticed that can move around quite a bit to help the expression. Eyebrows, too. I've really only noticed in most comics that the eyes and nose are what should stay put and the mouth can move around a lot. But that's just my observation Thank you for taking my advice, even though I don't have much to give! I've had some people blow me off completely!
I'll work whenever I can, but college does tend to suck up all my time
