All of your deviations look "a little pale" as if underexposed film, or the contrast ratio was set too high. I naturally chalked it up to your choice of color pallets or just your style of drawing. It kind of makes them look like faded old photos.

Let's just say both our illustrations have their strong points, though I'd still favor your take a little more. By-the-way, what's your opinion on the recent 'Discord Reforming / Fluttershy friendship' plot?

Well, honestly I'm somewhat indifferent, not sure if I like it or not. It should have been better developed I think. Hopefully they'll work more on the whole Discord being reformed thing in later episodes

Agreed. Maybe if there was some better build up for the two, even in a 'slice of life two-parter' mixed in with the events of said episode, it would feel less forced / contrived, like Trixie's sudden redemption after her return appearance. It feels like the FiM writers are checking out real fan fiction and theories online, and incorporating some of it into the actual show. True, I never saw Discord / Fluttershy pairing coming, but Discord going good has been a common fan hope for a while now.
